With a terrain made up of many peaks and valleys, this area offers superb and often challenging riding for the cycling enthusiast. You will venture through beautiful orchard and vineyard countryside. You will also sometimes ride within view of Lake Okanagan, a large expanse of water which is about 2 miles (3 kms) wide at its widest point, but over 60 miles (100 kms) in total length.
Day 1
Arrival day, possible ride in afternoon before dinner (depending on your arrival time). Dinner all together to go over details of trip. We will be staying at the Manteo Resort, a beautiful lakefront resort in the City of Kelowna.
Day 2
100km ride around Kelowna on the rolling hills through the orchard and vineyards that surround the area. In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour of several award‐winning wineries in the area of which include Tantalus Vineyards – wine tasting, Cedar Creek Estate Winery – private winery tour/wine tasting, Summerhill Pyramid Winery where you will stay to enjoy a 3 course meal and be dropped off back at your hotel.
Day 3
You will be driven down to the starting point of your to ride, starting in Peachland and riding down the valley to Osoyoos the ride will be around 100km. That night we will stay at Nk'mip Spirit of the Desert Resort, which is an outstanding resort and spa with an award winning winery. Before dinner you will enjoy a Wine tour and tasting at Nk'mip Winery followed by a gourmet dinner at the Passa Tempo Restaurant at the resort.
Day 4
We will ride in the surrounding area over some challenging hills on the 100km ride approx., you will have a chance to relax and recover before dinner at the resort .
Day 5
We will be starting at the hotel and heading up the valley towards Kelowna around 100km, the ride will follow the lakes up the valley. That night you will stay at the Prestige Inn in downtown Kelowna where we will enjoy an evening in town and dinner at a local Italian restaurant.
Day 6
Breakfast at your hotel, followed by optional early morning ride before checkout.
