Axel is one of those special people who makes you feel like you’ve known him for years as soon as you meet him. A really down to earth guy who is generous with his time and possesses a wealth of behind the scenes knowledge that is hard to beat. Axel has launched Axel Merckx Cycling Tours for 2008 and will launch his business in style with an intimate 7-day trip to his home Country of Belgium. Axel's boutique trips will start in the Spring of 2008. The former Belgian National Champion will lead an intimate group of riders through the spectacular countryside of Belgium where he grew up and trained for 20 years. |

These groups of lucky people will get the rare opportunity to experience the excitement of riding Belgium's Ardennes Classics- Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone and Liege- Bastogne-Liege -- which Axel has competed a combined total of 34 times. After experiencing these challenging rides yourself, you will also have the opportunity to watch the actual races with Axel as your own personal commentator. |
