Axel Merckx, former National Cycling Champion of Belgium and Olympic
Medallist, has established a unique cycle touring company.
Now living in Canada's western Province of British Columbia, he is offering several cycling tours, both in Europe and around this Canadian world-renowned tourist area. He also lends his skills and enthusiasm to several rides at varying times in support of some superb causes, such as cancer research.
Axel Merckx Cycling Tours offers guided cycling tours for intermediate to advanced level cyclists in various locations in Europe and in Canada.
In addition, Axel shares his bicycling expertise through various clinics offered to bicycle enthusiasts. |

We are on a conquest. We have decided to team up in The Ride to Conquer Cancer™ benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.
The ride is a cycling journey spanning two days and goes from Vancouver to Seattle. Sure, it sounds like a lot… and it’s meant to be.The conquest of cancer is a monumental task and won’t be easy. |

This event is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause - even people who haven’t ridden since they were twelve. All you need is motivation, a bike, and a helmet. The rest is history. Be part of it.
We’re here because we know that cancer is too big a disease to ignore. It affects everyone, maybe you, me, our parents, kids, siblings or friends. Sadly, maybe all of the above. But by riding in this event we are doing something about it. We’re rolling closer and closer to the end of cancer. It’s an awesome triumph in a physical sense and emotionally as well.
So hey, join us! This can be your opportunity to do something challenging and rewarding in so many ways. And you won’t do it alone. We will be doing training rides, helping each other to fundraise, and generating awareness for critical cancer research at the BC Cancer Foundation, a leader in cancer research and care.
